The DSWD Field Office VIII through its Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Division recently coordinated with the World Food Program and European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations at the Regional Resource Operation Center, Palo, Leyte.

This activity steered towards possible augmentation to the agency’s disaster response operation, especially when it comes to logistic requirements, data management, and development of the capacities of our workers or responders, for it to be better and sustainable.

Regional Director Grace Subong emphasized the importance of supporting each other survive through the difficult times including all sorts of disasters as she expressed, “Even if we too have become victims, we are still going to help.”
