The DSWD Eastern Visayas together with its partners, PNP, BFP and DPWH joined the ocular inspection at the relocation site in Brgy. Maganhan, as spearheaded by the Department of National Defense on the turnover of temporary shelter for typhoon Agaton affected families of Brgy. Kantagnos, Baybay City, Leyte.

There were also distributions of Family Food Packs (FFPs) and cash assistance distributed by the DSWD Regional Director herself, Grace Q. Subong and non-food items such as family kits, hygiene kits, butane gas and stove from OCD as well as tables and chairs from GSAT.

The City Vice Mayor, Hon. Ernesto M. Butawan welcomes all the invited guests for the turnover of temporary shelter project from (OCD to LGU Baybay). The City Mayor, Hon. Jose Carlos L. Cari wholeheartedly accepts the project and expressed his gratitude in behalf of the affected families of Brgy. Kantagnos, Baybay City, Leyte.

Moreover, the Brgy. Captain, Hon Michelle Cipe as the community representative had her heart-tearing message pertaining to the unending support of the government for them to recover from the casualties brought by the typhoon Agaton.

The program also spotlighted the Guest of Honor, USEC. Ricardo B. Jalad the Administrator of the Department of National Defense, where he focused on how the government can improve the support towards the affected citizens of typhoon Agaton in Brgy. Kantagnos, Baybay City, Leyte.
