After twenty days of Cash for Training and Work, four out of five Local Government Units (LGUs) in Eastern Samar have finally completed all three stages of Project LAWA at BINHI implementation. These stages include a 3-day learning and development session, 15-day actual work and 2-day sustainability training. In the last two days of implementation, partner-beneficiaries underwent a workshop to ensure the sustainability of the projects.

Following this, DSWD Field Office 8 successfully turned over the communal gardens and aquaculture projects created under the Risk Resiliency Program for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation. The subprojects have been handed over to San Policarpo, Oras, Dolores, and Jipapad while Maslog is still in the process of implementing the project and will complete it soon.

To support the goals of Project LAWA at BINHI, the Municipal Health Office of Jipapad has distributed schistosomiasis medications to promote the well-being and health of farmer-beneficiaries, ensuring sustainability in the community.

“LGU Oras is thankful for the program, kay may output at may learnings an mga beneficiaries,” said Adulfo Mugas, Vice Mayor of Oras, Eastern Samar.
