49 participants join DSWD Field Office VIII’s CCCM, IDPP training
Some 49 participants from Oras, Eastern Samar joined the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VIII’s training on Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) and Internally Displaced Persons Protection (IDPP) last August 28 to 30, 2024.
The training, facilitated by trained CCCM and IDPP resource persons from the agency’s Disaster Response Management Division, was attended by Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) members and barangay officials, aimed to enhance the Local Government Unit’s (LGU) capacity in managing evacuation centers and protecting evacuees, specially vulnerable groups, during disasters. This initiative is part of DSWD’s ongoing technical assistance to LGUs.
