Junalyn Palco, 22 years old, ESGP-PA scholar who just graduated at Visayas State University in Baybay, with the degree of Bachelor in Science in Agribusiness shares her story of how the said scholarship program has saved her dream.
It is really my dream to finish my studies because I believe that poverty will just be a repeated circumstance if nobody in the family will strive to graduate, so as to uplift their family living and have a decent job),” she said.
However, she almost stopped schooling by the time she reached her 2nd year since her family cannot afford it already.
But thanks to God I became an ESGP-PA grantee, that is why my spirit has been restored and I continued to study. They created a huge change in me and they gave me hope to realize my dream),” Junalyn expressed her gratitude while almost bursting into tears. She then encouraged her fellow scholars to study hard and not waste the great opportunity that were given to them by the government, they may experience difficulties along the way but they should never give up; and the parents to continue to support their children.
Dahil sa inyo, kaya kong maging kapakipakinabang sa lipunan (Thank you very much for all the support and guidance. Because of you, I can be valuable to the society),” she added.
