The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VIII will continue to implement Project LAWA at BINHI in Oras, Eastern Samar following its successful rollout last year to benefit more beneficiaries and mitigate impacts of climate change.
To ensure successful implementation of the project, the Risk Resiliency Program for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (RRP-CCAM) technical staff recently conducted a consultation meeting with representatives from the Office of the Municipal Agriculture Services (OMAS) and the Municipal Social Welfare Development Office (MSWDO).
Project LAWA at BINHI aims to strengthen community resilience against climate change, focusing on food security, particularly in response to the effects of El Niño.
