The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 8 is actively combating the spread of misinformation through the robust efforts of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. Recognizing the critical need for accurate information, all six provincial operations offices have intensified the ‘Tamang Tulong para Tamang Impormasyon’ campaign.
This initiative emphasizes the importance of beneficiaries relying solely on verified and official accounts of the DSWD and other government agencies for program-related updates. By promoting access to reliable sources, the DSWD aims to empower beneficiaries with factual information, fostering trust and ensuring they can make informed decisions.
Furthermore, the program leverages existing platforms, such as the Family Development Sessions (FDS), to reinforce this advocacy against misinformation.
