TINGNAN: Katuwang ang 52nd Infantry Battalion (52IB) at ang Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) ng Oras, Eastern Samar; nagpaabot kamakailan ang DSWD Field Office 8 ng Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) sa sampung (10) mga Former Rebels (FRs) na sumuko sa Eastern Samar.
Ang financial assistance na ito ay bahagi sa komprehensibong serbisyo na ibinabahagi ng gobyerno upang matulungan ang mga FRs sa kanilang reintegration sa komunidad. Maliban dito, mayroon ding mga capacity-building programs at mga psycho-social services para sa mga FRs.
Sa kanyang talumpati, nagpahayag si Major Leoden C Bajado ng 52IB ng pasasalamat sa patuloy na pagtutulungan ng DSWD, LGUs at ng Philippine Army upang tulungan ang mga FRs. “The financial assistance from DSWD is a vital part of the government’s efforts to ensure that those who choose the path of peace are not left behind. Let this moment be a turning point, for it is through our commitment to peace, justice, and responsibility that we can truly achieve lasting change.”
