The DSWD KALAHI-CIDSS Area Coordinating Team in Babatngon, Leyte spearheaded a Consultation Meeting with the Municipal Assessor and representatives from its 25 barangays on 23-24 April 2025.

In collaboration with the Municipal Assessor, Mr. Ismael Laguna, and the Municipal Administrator, Atty. Lito Odon, the activity aimed to provide legal and technical assistance to the barangays in establishing clear records of property ownership. Engr. Marites A. Baleros, MLGOO, also attended the said consultation meeting.

This initiative is significant to the implementation of the KALAHI-CIDSS program in the municipality as accurate land records are essential for the effective development of sub-projects, including the development of infrastructures, delivery of social services, and disaster preparedness mechanisms.
