The gift of blood is the gift of life. For Angels in Red Vests, this is not just a familiar quote but an act of service.

As part of DSWD’s 74th Anniversary Celebration, DSWD Field Office 8 recently conducted a Blood Donation Drive. Facilitated by the Philippine Red Cross, staff and guests actively participated in the activity, where 55 participants successfully donated their blood.

For Gilbert, one of DSWD’s Angels in Red Vests, who has been donating blood since 2011, this recent Blood Drive marks a milestone. “This is the eighth (8th) time I donated my blood. With every bag I donate, I believe we are truly helping those in need. Every drop counts.”

Whether it’s in the frontlines, distributing food packs or financial assistance; or behind the scenes, helping through the donation of blood, for every Angel in Red Vest, #BawatBuhayMahalagaSaDSWD.
