The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VIII (DSWD FO VIII) held a two-day culminating activity in line with the national observance of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month this May 2025, at the DSWD FO VIII compound in Candahug, Palo, Leyte.
This year’s celebration carried the theme, “Red Tape to Red Carpet: Better Business Movement in a Bagong Pilipinas.”
The activity was participated in by DSWD FO VIII employees from across Eastern Visayas.
On May 23–24, 2025, the Field Office conducted the 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗔) 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲 Game, which featured trivia booth sites and an EODB Advocacy Corner placed in various offices and divisions. These served as checkpoints for participants, allowing employees to engage with and learn more about EODB principles. The ARTA Pasaporte activity helped deepen staff understanding of EODB’s relevance in enhancing government processes and delivering quality, holistic public service. At the end of the activity, the top 15 employee-completers from across divisions and sub-field offices were recognized and awarded.
As the highlight of the culmination program, the Field Office honored 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 based on their 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗖𝗦𝗠) 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 for calendar years 2023 and 2024 in their respective frontline service units.
For the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝗖𝗦𝗠 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, the following divisions achieved a perfect 100.00% rating:
– Office of the Regional Director Cluster
– Financial Management Division
– Disaster Response Management Division
– Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program Management Office
– Promotive Services Division
Meanwhile, for the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗖𝗦𝗠 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, the following divisions garnered a 100.00% rating:
– Office of the Regional Director Cluster
– Administrative Division
– Financial Management Division
This first-ever EODB Month celebration is in accordance with Proclamation No. 818 issued by the Office of the President, ARTA Memorandum Circular No. 2025-01, and ARTA Advisory No. 2025-011, emphasizing the government’s commitment to streamlining regulatory processes, reducing bureaucratic red tape, and enhancing the quality and timeliness of public service delivery.
