DSWD Field Office 8 Regional Information and Communications Technology Management Section (RICTMS) recently held a Benchmarking Activity with guests from Field Office 9.
During the first day of the activity, DSWD FO8 RICTMS highlighted and discussed the Integrated Data Management System (IDMS), a unified network of interconnected information systems currently in use at the Field Office. This system serves as a one-stop shop for DSWD employees, allowing them to accomplish their tasks through one virtual workspace.
Afterwards, during the hands-on portion of the activity, RICTMS discussed the Integration of the Domain Active Directory, Multifactor Authentication through Google Authenticator, and PNPKI Digital Signatures.
Aside from the current features of the IDMS, RICTMS also discussed several ongoing developments, including the development of mobile applications.
Taking the lead in innovations, the DSWD RICTMS continues in its goal to improve the Field Office’s systems. As Apple CEO Tim Cook once said, “You can focus on things that are barriers or you can focus on scaling the wall or redefining the problem.”
