The DSWD Field Office VIII celebrated National Women’s Month under the 2017 theme “We Make Change Work for Women”, on late March at the DSWD Operations Control Room.

Putting emphasis to the elements of the theme, DSWD Regional Director, Restituto Macuto encouraged his staff, particularly the males to continue supporting the women and let them know that they play a very important role in the society. He also hoped that the department will be a way to open more oppurtunities for women and help bring change to them.

The first National Women’s Month Celebration under the new leadership focuses on these key foundations: partnership for change and full implementation of the Magna Carta of Women (Republic Act 9710), captured through the theme: “WE Make Change Work for Women.”#WomenMakeChange #DSWDMayMalasakit
