On the first day of relief distribution in Dagami, Leyte, DSWD staff from the Disaster Response Management Division and the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, were able to serve 829 family food packs.
Despite the challenge of transporting goods into interior areas, DSWD was able to distribute 75 FFPs in Brgy. Salvacion, 149 in Hinabuyan, 256 in Buntay, 89 in Sto. Domingo, 124 in Tagkip, and 136 in Tin-ao.
DSWD conducted this relief operation after receiving a request for augmentation from the first responders, the Local Government Unit.
