WHO MAY JOIN?
1. The Competition is open to all songwriters (amateur or professional) who are of Filipino citizenship or of Filipino descent and who are residing in Eastern Visayas. Minors may join provided that they submit a written consent from a parent or guardian.
2. All employees of DSWD Field Office VIII from all units and programs are not qualified to join the Competition.

ESA is a good program – Mayor Lumen

Abuyog’s warriors of Yolanda

They are beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilya, a conditional transfer scheme which molded them to become model parents/citizens in their respective communities. When Yolanda lashed its fury on November 8, 2013, they went back to nothing. They lost their livelihood but definitely, their life – changing skills the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has taught them, stayed.

Second batch of Pantawid Pamilya Beneficiaries to receive their ESA

Tacloban City,  July 21 – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VIII started today the  pay-out of Emergency Shelter Assistance (ESA) to the second batch of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (Pantawid Pamilya) beneficiaries of Tacloban who were affected by super typhoon Yolanda.   The pay – out is being conducted  at the Pantawid Pamilya Leyte Provincial Operations Office at Fatima Village,  this city.
