DSWD welcomes full-fledged Tara, Basa! tutors, YDWs in Tacloban City

The 5-day Capability Building for reading tutors and Youth Development (YDWs) in Tacloban City was concluded on Friday, April 4, 2025.

A total of 477 college students from Leyte Normal University (LNU) and Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) completed the training which began on March 31.

Tara, Basa! Guidebooks distributed to tutors, YDWs in Tacloban City

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has completed the distribution of guidebooks for tutors and Youth Development Workers (YDWs) in Tacloban City.

A total of 477 student-beneficiaries from Leyte Normal University and Eastern Visayas State University received individual copies of the knowledge product they will use during the 20-days reading tutorials and Nanay-Tatay sessions of the Tara, Basa Tutoring Program.
