Rosalinda Tabiana Bedua, 31, is a housewife of Barangay Cabangcalan, Zone 4 in Sta. Fe, Leyte. She is married to Norberto Polidaria Bedua, 30, a collector of Asset Credit Loan. The couple is blessed with four children, two of whom are Pantawid Pamilya program beneficiaries – Neil Ric, nine years old and a Grade three pupil of Sta. Fe Elementary School, and Nicole Ann, eight years old and a Grade two pupil of same school. Rosalinda is a Parent-Leader who used to vend rice, dressed chicken and cold cuts around their community before the onset of Yolanda. Rosalinda got her small capital from the Pantawid Pamilya cash grants so as she could roll her money and would grow. That way, her family will not run out of their “education & health/nutrition fund” till the next pay – out (that is every after two months). Rosalinda would usually set aside Php 1, 000.00 to Php 1, 500.00 for every pay-out. After Yolanda, she was one of the 25 beneficiaries of the Sustainable Livelihood Program, who put together their Php10, 000.00 seed capital for a piggery and ‘itik’ (DUCK FAMILY) venture. Now they’re earning !
