With the majority of bunkhouse residents/families being transferred in droves this April, the Ridgeview Park 1 community is buzzing with activity.

To get the water facility ready for everyone, and the water system going like clockwork, DSWDF08’s PDOs and some residents of Ridgeview did Pintakasi/Bayanihan activities in the part of the river where water is drawn for the catchment well. Meetings were also held with the Officers and Board of Directors of the Ridgeview Water and Sanitation Association (RiWaSA) for the Formal Turnover of the Water Project to them, as well as what’s expected of them in terms of commitment and responsibilities. A general meeting was also held with both members as well as non-members of RIWASA. Ted Japson/CHO, Juri de los Santos and Maria of IOM and PDO Jose Dabuet of DSWDF08 were in attendance. During the meeting, PDO Dabuet asked the members of the Board of Directors about their situation in their new homes in Ridgeview Park and everyone was one in saying that they are now in a much, much better condition than before and are excited about what the future lies ahead for them.
Says PDO Dabuet, “Personally, I can say that the inter-agency collaboration thru the LIAC has borne fruit. With the Water Project and Temporary Learning System (TLS) in place, they’re in a much better shape than ever before.”
