At DSWD, we make sure that we always have enough relief items so that we can respond to any disasters.

Recently, DSWD’s relief items were lessened after responding to Tisoy, and as we respond to Ursula, we need to ensure that we have enough.

Thankfully, more relief items are on the way to DSWD Region VIII. Through coordination with other Field Offices and the Central Office, DSWD FO VIII will be receiving approximately 14,800 additional FFPs courtesy of DSWD FO V, FO VII and the National Resource Operations Center. DSWD is also tapping into volunteers to produce more FFPs.

After Ursula, the public can be assured that DSWD will always have enough relief items for the affected LGUs.

DSWD would also like to inform the public that it only acts as in an augmentation capacity. DSWD will only provide relief upon receiving requests from the first responders, the LGU.
