After receiving a request for augmentation from Mayor Maria Rosario Avestruz, DSWD is now loading 1,000 family food packs bound for distribution in Barugo, Leyte.
These FFPs will be distributed to families living in the coastal areas.
These relief items are in addition to the assistance already provided by the first responders, the LGU of Barugo. As first responder, the LGU has extended assistance in the form of two kilos rice and canned goods to each of the 8,000 affected families.
