Christmas is the time of giving.

And for the Department of Social Welfare and Development, it is also the time to prepare. As Ursula nears Eastern Visayas, DSWD is in full preparation mode.

At DSWD’s Regional Resource Operations Section (RROS), both volunteers and DSWD staff give their best, and their precious time to package relief items to be used when the need arises.

As of today, DSWD has a stockpile of 6,416 family food packs, 563 sacks of NFA rice (50 kg each) 5,557 cans of beef loaf, 4,053 cans of corned beef and 144,644 sachets of coffee, with more on the way, thanks to these volunteers from various groups and programs, including the EVSU Leaders, PH Leaders and DSWD staff from both the RROS and the Sustainable Livelihood Program who embody the Christmas spirit.

This Christmas, let us freely give and help others who are in need. Volunteer now! You may contact 0935-530-2422 for scheduling and inquiries.
