LOOK: DSWD Kalahi field staff, along with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (DRRMO) staff and day care workers, demostrated bayanihan spirit through assisting the Local Government Unit in repacking and distributing of relief goods to the affected families of COVID-19 crisis.

The Kalahi staff comprise of the Area Coordinating Team and Municipal Coordinating Team in Kawayan Biliran and Macrohon Southern Leyte converge with their respective local government units to continue serve the communities.

According to Kalahi Municipal Financial Analyst Rhine Sabonsolin that in Kawayan, each PUM and/or PUI will receive four (4) kilos of rice. In addition, 6,675 families will receive relief goods from the said municipality and province of Biliran.

Meanwhile in Macrohon, the relief goods for 175 families with PUM and PUI members have already been distributed as per Kalahi Area Coordinator Jupiter Nim.

Kalahi will continue assisting the LGUs in repacking and distribution of relief goods
