DSWD, DOH Collaborate to mitigate impacts of COVID-19 pandemic in Eastern Visayas

The DSWD Kalahi-CIDSS F0-8 has collaborated with the Department of Health (DOH) Eastern Visayas in the implementation of Disaster Response Operations Procedure (DROP) under Kalahi-CIDSS program through its Community Driven Development (CDD) strategy.

Using Disaster Response Operations Procedure (DROP), DSWD Kalahi-CIDSS will provide augmentation to the local government units in managing the COVID-19 crisis response through the funding of projects identified by the communities.

At the consultation meeting held this morning at the DOH regional office, DOH presented the standard design of the COVID-19 quarantine/isolation facility and the prescribed personal protective equipment (PPEs), medical tools, and facilities. It also discussed the health protocols and other requirements to be followed in all of the Kalahi community-identified projects.

DOH Eastern Visayas, through Dr. Quennie Ilao, was grateful for the partnership with the DSWD.

DSWD is continuously working for strong collaboration with partner stakeholders to mitigate impacts of the pandemic in promoting and protecting the right of the most vulnerable and marginalized sector.
