In his speech during the Turn-Over of Leadership Ceremony Undersecretary Budiongan commended Field Office VIII for its milestones and achievements under the leadership of Regional Director Marie Angela Gopalan. He thanked RD Gopalan for the efforts exerted as the key player in the improvement of the current disposition of the people of Eastern Visayas, for bringing innovations and fresh ideas to Field Office VIII, and for introducing organizational strengthening initiatives which resulted in a more competent workforce and improved efficiency in the organization.

Appreciating RD Gopalan’s leadership in strengthening the capacity of office personnel through intensive collaboration and partnership efforts, Undersecretary Budiongan emphasized her exemplary performance that brought positive changes in Eastern Visayas despite the effects brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Moreover, he also verbalized his support to the incoming Regional Director Grace Subong and stressed his confidence and optimism towards her new leadership.
