DSWD Field Office VIII recently distributed P15,000,000 Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) financial assistance to 5,000 families severely affected by the flooding in Catarman Northern, Samar.
The AICS distribution is a part of the ongoing relief augmentation of DSWD to the families affected by the combined effects of Shear Line and Trough of Low Pressure Area.
Senator Imee Marcos, Northern Samar Governor Edwin Marino Ongchuan, and Vice Governor Clarence Dato, graced the distribution of the said financial assistance.
“Tuloy-tuloy po ang ating pagbibigay tulong [sa mga apektado] ng anumang kalamidad gaya ng shear line,” Marcos said during a press conference held in Catarman Freedom Park.
