The Department of Social Welfare and Development- Field Office VIII opens its 4 Centers and Residential Care Facilities (CRCF) to partners and stakeholders starting today, May 7, 2024.
The DSWD FO VIIII CRCF, namely the Regional Rehabilitation Center for the Youth (RRCY), Haven for Women (HFW), Home for Girls (HFG), and Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC) Open House Activity, is in line with the celebration of the DSWD 73rd Founding Anniversary.
This aims to raise awareness about the different programs, services, and facilities of these centers. Including showcasing of various initiatives aimed at addressing social welfare issues such as poverty alleviation, child welfare, disaster response, and community development.
It also aims to provide feedback and evaluation that can be used for evaluation purposes, to assess the effectiveness of interventions, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that services meet the needs of the target population.
Among the partners and stakeholders who attended were Dr. Allan Tanjuakio, Tacloban Satellite Head of the Office of the Vice President, and representatives from Department of Education-Division of Leyte, Bureau of Fire Protection- Palo, Volunteer for the Visayans, and the Regional Trial Court-Tacloban City.
This open house activity is set to end tomorrow, May 8, 2024.
