Three Balangiga barangays will be featured in a national video documentary depicting the impact of government support in poor municipalities. In Balangiga, the two-man documentation team led by nationally and internationally acclaimed director, Ditsi Carolino took video shots of everyday life and the impact of the KALAHI-CIDSS: KKB Projects in barangays Bacjao and Cag-olango and the solution of potable water shortage in Sta. Rosa.

DSWD EYES SUCCESSFUL KALAHI-CIDSS MUNICIPALITIES FOR ONE YEAR MAKAMASANG TUGON PROJECT

The municipalities in Region Eight that have successfully completed the three cycles of the KALAHI-CIDSS: KKB Project are invited to submit their Letter of Intent to participate in the MAKAMASANG TUGON Modality Scale-Up. The successful pilot implementation of the Makamasang Tugon in Balangiga and Maslog in 2009 paved the way for the Project roll-out this year.
