DSWD home for women bares recent accomplishments

Last year, the Regional Haven served a total of 49 clients. Of these 49 residents, 22 are women and 27 are dependents. The highest number of cases on women are sexual abuse – 10 followed by trafficking – 5, solo parents in crisis – 4, physical abuse – 2, and economic abuse – 1, the DSWD 2016 Narrative Report states.

DSWD to strengthen campaign on Adoption

The once Yolanda -devastated Boardwalk at Barangay Looc in Cabucgayan, Biliran is now transformed into a beautiful scenery of mangrove plantation and thriving natural habitat of different marine species.

Brgy. Tuyo completes first Cycle2 project; wins Kalahi-CIDSS Best Barangay Award

Brgy. Tuyo in MacArthur was proclaimed as the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan–Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS) Regional Awardee for the Bayan Category or Model Barangay Implementing the DSWD Empowerment Program for CY 2015- 2016 during the 3rd Bayani Ka Awards held last month.
