Bereaved families of the 6.5 magnitude earthquake casualties received assistance from DSWD

 

 

 

Earlier, DSWD provided burial assistance to bereaved families with total amount of Php71,000.00, plus a cash assistance of Php5,000.00 to the family of Gerry Movilla, a DSWD-SLP security guard trainee who died in the collapsed building in Kananga.

To date, 3 dead persons were reported. This is based on recent report of the DSWD FO8.

DSWD provides sustainable livelihood for lasting peace and order in communities

Some 160 male and female security guards graduated in the pre-licensing training through the Sustainable Livelihood Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

In separate closing ceremonies,  85 male security guards and 15 lady guards of Llorente, Eastern Samar received their completion certificates last June 10, 2017,  while 48 male security guards and 12 lady guards in Leyte, Leyte, had theirs last June 13, 2017.
