Regional Director Restituto Macuto led the distribution of certificates, assisted by Llorente Mayor Daniel Boco

Some 160 male and female security guards graduated in the pre-licensing training through the Sustainable Livelihood Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

In separate closing ceremonies,  85 male security guards and 15 lady guards of Llorente, Eastern Samar received their completion certificates last June 10, 2017,  while 48 male security guards and 12 lady guards in Leyte, Leyte, had theirs last June 13, 2017.

In his speech,  DSWD Regional Director Restituto Macuto called for unity and collective action in improving the peace and order situations in their respective communities.

“This training is just an aid for you. It is in your hands on what you will do with what you have learned during the training. But, I believe that you were taught on the right attitude to perform your job and responsibilities. I hope you will bring them with you and use them to make a change in our society,” he expressed.

Sixteen security guards have now started their employment in different establishments in Tacloban City. Wolverine Security Training Academy, Inc. assured assignments for the remaining graduates.

The families of the graduates were also present in the closing ceremony to celebrate the momentous event with them.# #DSWDMayMalasakit
