LIGHT AMID THE CRISIS: DSWD-Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Federation supplies rice to 4Ps beneficiaries, offers ‘buy now, pay later’ scheme
To help 4Ps families cope with the recent challenges amid COVID-19 pandemic, the SLP Federation of Hinunangan, Southern Leyte extended a “buy (rice) now, pay later” arrangement to 180 Pantawid households from five (5) barangays in the municipality. While still waiting for their rice subsidy to be credited to their cash card, the beneficiaries were able to “purchase” in advance 30 kilos or P1200 worth of rice per household.
