The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VIII headed by Regional Director Restituto Macuto, through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), was recognized by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as an Outstanding Regional Partner for Implementing BSP Advocacies on the Conduct of Public Information Campaigns, during their 2017 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for Stakeholders yesterday.

Said award was given to the department for its exemplary support in promoting and implementing BSP’s currency advocacies and programs, such as the Clean Note Policy, Coin Recirculation Program, and the Demonetization of the New Design Series, during 4Ps Family Development Sessions (FDS) conducted by the City and Municipal Links.

The event was made more significant with the presence of BSP Monetary Policy Sub-Sector Managing Director Francisco Dakila, Jr., Monetary Board Member Peter Favila, Director Leonides Sumbi, Department of Economic Statistics Marriel Remulla, 4PS Regional Program Management Office staff headed by Regional Program Coordinator Paula Unay, Provincial Links Alvin Maldos, Gina Omillo, Susana Rostata, Manneth Lagaras, Febie Palines represented by Social Welfare Officer (SWO) III Elise Dulfo, and SWO III Arole Nirza, and other BSP partner stakeholders.

BSP envisions to be a world-class monetary authority and a catalyst for a globally competitive economy and financial system that delivers a high quality of life for all Filipinos. Its annual awards ceremony serves as a venue for fostering solid commitment and support toward the achievement of shared visions for the Filipino people.

While 4Ps is a form of Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) program of the national government which invests on the health and education of children aged 0-18 years from identified poorest of the poor households assessed by DSWD Listahanan.
