Following a request for augmentation from Babatngon Mayor Maria Fe Rondina, DSWD recently transported 470 family food packs to the affected municipality.
Having difficulty with communications, Mayor Rondina personally went to DSWD to request for augmentation the day after Ursula struck. DSWD responded immediately. That afternoon, DSWD loaded 470 FFPs into an Army Truck and transported it to Babatngon.
As per agreement with Mayor Rondina, these FFPs will be distributed to the families with totally damaged houses.
This is in addition to the aid provided by the LGU as first responder which has already amounted to 1.2 million pesos.
