LOOK: The DSWD Kalahi-funded communication device is now being used by the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP) through SFO2 Leo Sampayan in Brgy. Erenas Victoria Northern Samar in disseminating information for a safe and fire-free observance of Undas.

Sampayan reminded the barangay residents about the information relative to fire safety household tips and precautions. He also added that BFP personnel are also deployed in strategic locations in the municipality to quickly respond in case of fire and other related emergencies.

Meanwhile, the communication equipment with amenities and protective Equipment (PPEs) is a project of the community under the DSWD Kalahi-CIDSS program.

The amenities and PPEs are prepositioned in the barangay-funded quarantine facility for use by the medical and barangay frontliners and locally stranded individuals.

While the communication equipment is placed in the barangay hall for use as public address system.

Further, the municipality of Victoria also issued a municipal guideline to close all public and private cemeteries for visitation from October 30 until November 3, to restrain the influx of people and mass gatherings amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
