A group of boys from the DSWD’s Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth in Tanauan, Leyte, made it to the third place in today’s nationwide virtual “Sabayang Pagbigkas”Competition, marking the culmination of the 9th Juvenile Justice and Welfare Consciousness Week. Organized by the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council of the DSWD, the activity provided an opportunity for children and youth to let their voices be heard.

Participated in by Children-At-Risk (CAR) and Children-In-Conflict with Law (CICL) who are residents of Bahay Pag-asa, RRCY, and other youth care facilities nationwide, the competition is an eye opener for stakeholders that CICL, specifically, should not be seen as offenders but individuals who need special protection and assistance.

The RRCY boys will be receiving Php20,000.00 as cash prize.#
