For Pagbabangnan residents of San Julian town in Eastern Samar, the improvement of an access road will pave the way to a better and comfortable life. It would mean greater opportunities for education, health facilities, disaster-response programs and other services, and socio-economic development.

This was testified by community volunteer Ben Casaba during the turn-over ceremony, “With the access road, it will now become easier for us to go to our evacuation center when calamity or disaster strikes,” he said.

So with Barangay Council member Greg Cainto stated that “ It will be now safe for the children when going to school, and for residents traveling to and from the town proper.” For his part, Municipal Mayor Dennis Estaron said that “facilitating locally stranded individuals to accommodate in the quarantine facility in their barangay will no longer be of difficulty.”Estaron also extended appreciation towards DSWD for its unfaltering assistance to the municipal and barangays. He assured that the municipal local government unit (MLGU) will always support the immediate needs of community residents, especially during this new normal.
