NAVAL, Biliran – A total of 103 beneficiaries received financial assistance under the AICS (Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation) program of the DSWD Field Office VIII on Thursday, September 15, 2021.
The distribution of financial assistance was held during the First Provincial General Assembly and Organizational Meeting of the Biliran Integrated Peace and Development Workers’ Federation (BIPDWF), a province-wide activity that serves as a platform for the different agencies to lay down its programs and services that the members of the BIPDWF can avail.
DSWD Field Office VIII targeted 1,700 beneficiaries from the province of Biliran at Php 3,000 per beneficiary and is set to distribute the said assistance starting September 15, 2021, until October this year.
Led by Regional Director Grace Subong, the said distribution aims to address the immediate basic needs of its beneficiaries in this time of crisis.
“DSWD is committed to assist individuals in crisis situations. This is our way of showing support of the government’s whole-of-nation approach in ensuring that the programs and services reach the different sectors of our society”, Dir. Subong emphasized.
