The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Eastern Visayas has conducted an orientation session of various programs and services for Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) in Ormoc City recently.
Atty. Jasper Lucero, Chairperson of the City Livelihood Committee reaffirmed the city government’s support for the livelihood associations.
“We want our associations to thrive. As your livelihoods flourish, so too will employment opportunities. Through this, our city will surely prosper,” Lucero added.
The orientation served as a platform for knowledge exchange and capacity-building for the successful implementation of Sustainable Livelihood Program in Ormoc City.
Among the attendees were representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry, Technical Education, Skills and Development Authority, Cooperative Development Authority, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Palawan Pawnshop, Ormoc City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Ormoc City Local Government Unit.
