The Ormoc Federation of Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations, Inc, DSWD Field Office VIII and the Ormoc City Social Welfare and Development Office – Special Project and Programs Section joined forces to give aid to families devastated by a recent fire incident in Ormoc City. The relief initiative was dubbed “Bundle of Joy and Gift Giving”.

Representatives from the Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations in Ormoc City have convened on 1 March 2024 to distribute vital relief supplies such as food, clothing, and toiletries to the fire victims. The affected families were also given “bundles of joy” containing school supplies, snacks, and vitamins for children.

The fire incident, that happened around 7 pm on 22 February 2024, has affected 48 families or 282 persons. The Bureau of Fire Protection has reported no injuries or casualties.
