Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) in Eastern Samar participated in the relaunching of the Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) initiative, held from March 11 to 15, 2024, at the Guiuan Public Plaza in Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
The event, which coincided with the Panagtawo Trade Fair, commemorating the 503rd Anniversary of the Circumnavigation of Magellan to the World, is a significant milestone in advancing agricultural development and food security in Eastern Samar.
The KNP forms part of the government’s strategy to ensure stable food supply as it enables farmers to sell directly to consumers by removing market layers. Fresh agricultural and fishery products become more accessible to consumers at affordable prices.
