The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VIII has launched the Mansalip Mauswagon Association (MMA) in Matag-ob, Leyte today.
The association, with 18 members, has received a livelihood grant of P360,000.00. MMA has ventured to rice retailing microenterprise.
The event was graced by Matag-ob Mayor Bernandino Tacoy, partner stakeholder Jose Yap and Municipal Livelihood Focal Relyn Tabayag.
In his speech, SLPA President Eleuterio Villarin underscored the importance of cooperation, communication, and transparency in ensuring the sustainability of the rice retailing project.
